CV
Born in Shanghai,
Yimeng Wu
grew up in China and Germany. With
six years she started to practise
traditional chinese painting. After
having studied Visual Communication
at the University of Arts Berlin,
Folkwang University Essen and ENSAD
Paris, she's working as a freelance
designer, artist & culture mediator
based in Berlin.
Yimeng believes in the fusion of art
& design as well as the juxta-
position between east & west. The media
she employs range from illustration
and bookdesign to spacial installation.
Her approach is both conceptual as
well as intuitive. She's searching
for traces, phenomena of local urban
culture in globalized China.
